The Opening Ceremony on the 53^rd Anniversary of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Turkey commenced on 27 April 2015 at the Hall of the Grand Council of the Constitutional Court with the oath-taking ceremony held for Mr. Rıdvan GÜLEÇ, the Member Judge of the Constitutional Court who has been elected from the quota of the Court of Accounts, and continued with the opening speech delivered by Prof. Dr. Zühtü ARSLAN, the President of the Constitutional Court.

Mr. Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN, the President of our Republic hosted lunch at the Presidential Palace for our President Prof. Dr. Zühtü ARSLAN, Member Judges of our Court and the Presidents and Member Judges of the guest Constitutional Courts.

The international symposium organized under the 53^rd Anniversary Activities of the Constitutional Court, themed as “Assessment of the Judgments on Individual Application- Challenges and Remedies,” was held on 27-28 April 2015 at the Hall of the Grand Council with the participation of the Presidents, Member Judges of the Constitutional Courts from 11 countries and the representatives of the European Court of Human Rights, and came to an end with the closing speech made by Mr. Burhan ÜSTÜN, the Vice-President of the Constitutional Court.

On 29 April 2015, the foreign guests having participated in the 53^rd Anniversary Activities took part in the cultural program and gala dinner organized for them in Istanbul. The activities ended with the speech of thanks given by Prof. Dr. Zühtü ARSLAN, the President of the Constitutional Court to the delegations having attended the 53^rd Anniversary.
