President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Zühtü Arslan met with President of the Supreme Court of Somalia Mr. Bashe Yusuf Ahmed.

During the meeting held at the Turkish Constitutional Court, information was exchanged on the functioning of the judicial systems of both countries and the parties discussed enhancement of cooperation between two courts.

President Mr. Arslan, stressing that the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Turkey had a deep-rooted history, stated that they were ready to contribute to the development of relations between the constitutional/supreme courts of two countries.

President of the Somalian Supreme Court Mr. Ahmed, stating that they wished to benefit from the experiences of the Turkish Constitutional Court, expressed their wish to enhance the cooperation.

After the meeting, a bilateral memorandum of cooperation was signed between the courts of both countries.
