The XVIIIth Congress of the Conference of the European Constitutional Courts (CECC) started with the meeting of the Circle of Presidents.
Representatives from the Constitutional/Supreme Courts of 35 countries have participated in the Congress held between 24-25 February via video conference due to the precautions related to Covid-19 pandemic. The Czech Republic that holds the term presidency has undertaken the coordination of the Congress.
Mr. Zühtü Arslan, President of the Turkish Constitutional Court, represented Turkey at the meeting of the Circle of Presidents on the first day of the Congress. Mr. Zühtü Arslan, participating in the meeting via video conferencing method, voiced Turkey’s views on the issues on the agenda and voted accordingly.
